Ad Libitum is the result of the musical and artistic collaboration of Carmen Fernandez and Pablo Amante. With the research, the experience and the studies, has become a scientific-artistic-musical research complex machine, and a musical, literary and philosophic creation project which tries to face the fast, complex and technologic world of today. Ad Libitum perceives the world in a fractal way (scale symmetry) where the micro and the macro are linked to the angle from where they are been observed, and where, in a non lineal way, every part of the whole can be in touch with another part of itself. Our music reflects our internal diversity, from the occidental and oriental culture, the folklore and the ancient music, our rock roots, the academic studies, the profound interest and the research with the music color and the sound manipulation through the technology and the electronics, to the purpose of having an impact on the audience. Strong believers of the complex relationship that can exist among the arts and the senses which  creates the well known phenomenon called synesthesia (to feel the sound of a perfume, to smell a vision or a color, or to see a sound). The integration and harmonious interaction of everything we are, receive and filtrate, becomes Ad Libitum.

Ad Libitum è il risultato della stretta collaborazione musicale e artistica fra Carmen Fernandez e Pablo Amante. Con la ricerca, l’esperienza, studi, l’approfondire artistico e personale, è diventato una complessa macchina di ricerca scientifica-artistica-musicale, e di creazione di musica, letteratura e filosofia, che cerca rispondere al mondo attuale, veloce, complesso e tecnologico. Ad Libitum guarda il mondo in modo fractal (simmetria di scala) dove il micro e il macro sono relativi al punto dal quale essi vengono osservati, e dove in modo non lineare ogni parte del tutto può entrare in contatto con altra parte di se stesso. La nostra musica riflette la nostra interna diversità; la cultura occidentale e orientale, il folklore e la musica antica, le nostre origini nel Rock, gli studi accademici, il profondo interesse e il lavoro col timbro e la manipolazione del suono attraverso la tecnologia e l’elettronica, allo scopo di riuscire ad avere un impatto sull’ascoltatore. Da sempre fedeli credenti della complessa relazione che può esistere fra diversi arti e fra i sensi, noto come sinestesia, (sentire il suono di un profumo, il odore di una visione o un colore, o guardare un suono). La integrazione e armoniosa interazione di tutto ciò che siamo, riceviamo e filtriamo, diventa Ad Libitum
